Teaser Bet
This is a mobile sports bet that gambles on any where from two to seven teams in one bet, but this type of wager allows you to either subtract or add points. In other words, you are able to adjust the spread by a specific sum, but it will cost you to do this. This is often referred to as "moving the line" by mobile sports bettors. A teaser bet is similar to the parlay sports bet in that it involves more than a single wager and you must win all of them for it to be a winning bet.
A teaser bet will either add points to the underdog team or subtract points from the favored one. You can also bet a teaser that adjusts the total (over or under bet) either up or down. The odds vary on a teaser bet according to the amount of points adjusted and on the amount of teams included in it. You will also come across mobile sports betting sites that offer set amounts, along with the option to buy an additional point, or even half points.
Examples of Possible Teaser Odds and Payouts:
6 Point Teaser
Number of Teams Odds Payouts
Two Teams 11/10 $100 for each $110 bet
Three Teams 9/5 $180 for each $100 bet
Four Teams 3/1 $300 for each $100 bet
Five Teams 4.5/1 $450 for each $100 bet
6.5 Point Teaser
Number of Teams Odds Payouts
Two Teams 12/10 $100 for each $120 bet
Three Teams 8/5 $160 for each $100 bet
Four Teams 2.5/1 $250 for each $100 bet
Five Teams 4/1 $400 for each $100 bet
The above examples are rounded out for easier understanding of the payouts given for teaser bets. You will find various mobile sportsbooks offering different odds, so be sure to check ahead of time for them. In the above example, if you bet a $100 6.5 point, three team teaser and all of your picks were correct; you would win $160 plus your original bet of $100 for a total payout of $260. If any of the three picks were incorrect, you would lose. You could also figure the above example in bet amounts of $10 in place of the $100, just as you can in the other previous bets mentioned.
Mobile Sports Betting Information: It is advised that you make sure you are aware of all of the rules concerning teaser bets, prior to placing any. It will matter where you are making your teaser bets, as to how a tie or canceled event is handled when it is part of a teaser bet. The payoffs also vary and must be completely understood, before you make your teaser bet.
Note: Teaser bets are normally only used in football and basketball and the two sports cannot usually be combined on one teaser.
